A FREE stewardship activity geared towards teenagers or adults.

Join the Downsview Park Stewardship Team for an evening of outdoor activity, no experience required. We work to restore natural areas through activities like tree planting, mulching, wildlife surveys, seed collection and invasive species removal.

This spring the Downsview Park Stewardship Team will be focusing on planting native trees and shrubs and controlling one of our forest’s biggest threats: garlic mustard.

We’ll be active outside, please bring clothes that can get dirty. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required and a water bottle is recommended. Downsview Park provides tools, training, sunscreen and bug spray.

All ages are welcome but all participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Please contact jdeshman [at] clc [dot] ca with any stewardship questions.
